Family matters and dolls

It has been another busy week. Between having 135 new students, and let me say they are wonderful. I am so lucky to be at the best school in Virginia Beach! My students work hard and put so much effort into their work.

On my off time I am always busy with my little 7 year old Katie. She too is a creative little one. She is making her own Valentine's this weekend using wiggly eyes, glitter and crayons...not to mention feathers, yarn and scraps.

Today I listed a new bunny doll on Etsy... www.mommylion.etsy.com
Take a look!

Valentine's Dolls

Here is another little "Heart Beat" doll. Just listed on my Etsy shop. I have a new hairdo for this doll. I used a beautiful wool angelina blend that I just purchased. I love working with it!
Her face is embroidered and she has a beaded dress. She holds the key to your heart as well as some flowers. Flowers and hearts are used for her little shoes. Enjoy!

New Doll Design

Meet Rose, she is the first of a short line of "Heart Beats", a new design line I am developing. She is about 6" tall and stands on a vintage spool of thread. She is made from felt and a variety of fabrics, beads, yarn that I crocheted for her hair, and trims.
I didn't think this little doll would take too long, but she did!! She is listed in my Etsy shop for as long as she lasts!

Back to work

I have been totally out of touch for the past two days. I had bronchial pneumonia and I had it bad! I couldn't sew for days and so now I am trying to reorganise and get back to work.

I did get to finish my Angel Bear. She is going to a lovely lady along with another bear that I recently finished. I just listed them at my Etsy shop www.mommylion.etsy.com

Easter Bunny Softies

I have been working on several designs for Spring. I just finished this bunny for an ad with Lollishops for the Spring. I think she turned out cute. Let me know what you think! I won't be listing her for a while, but I will be taking orders.

Busy Sewing!!!

It's been a busy week! Back to school included an art show to hang on Monday and Tuesday, a sick 7 year old...who is doing better now! My daughters Reconciliation classes, and many orders to fill!
Needles to say, every free moment has been spent sewing. I finished a bunny or two, have two bears in the making and I have 4 Valentine dolls being beaded! You can imagine what my coffee table looks like right now. I should do a before and after shot for you!
Here are some pictures of the work in progress. The little lavender bunny will be listed today as a reserve on Etsy...but you can order one if you like. Please do so early if this is for an Easter basket!!
Till later!

A bear in the making

I am making two little bears for a sweet lady. I just love the first one!
The next will be a bear angel!
It's back to school for us tomorrow. Boy it is going to be hard to get back on schedule. I have so much to do to get ready.
Let me know what you think about the bear!!
